The Border Line presents,
an evening of informal discussion with anthropologist Patrick Horton
Patrick’s PhD research explores the lived experiences of imprisonment for Aboriginal families and communities in the NT. He asks how people talk, think and feel about prison and the prison system. More broadly, who benefits from the prison industry and the disproportionate incarceration of Aboriginal people? And how does the prison system impact Aboriginal people’s capacity to relate to and speak for country in the context of increasing development and resource extraction?
